POSITION SUMMARY

Administers, monitors, and optimizes Hoosier Energy's computing systems in the operational technology network. Assists in the maintenance of operational software functionality utilized within the System Control Center. Assumes a proactive and primary role in NERC/Regional Reliability Standards compliance requirements including Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements as they pertain to the System Control Center function. Coordinates with and assists the corporate IT and Compliance departments with regards to Hoosier Energy's NERC/Regional Reliability Standards compliance policies, plans, procedures, and evidentiary documentation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports all phases of the Hoosier Energy SCADA environment: servers, workstations and peripheral systems with special attention on Cyber Security and NERC/Regional Reliability Standards requirements.
  • Implements the System Control Center server and workstation patch management process as required to maintain compliance and security requirements for all applicable NERC standards and security requirements.
  • Assists Hoosier Energy's Compliance department to assure compliance with NERC/Regional Reliability Standards applicable with the System Control Center.
  • Supports the System Control Energy Management system infrastructure and processes.
  • Supports control center personnel and functionality by assisting corporate IT in the development and support of all System Control business critical applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Systems or related field minimum

Experience:

  • Two years' relevant IT experience in software, hardware, network administration minimum

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and work as part of a team
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to identify, anticipate and resolve problems at hand
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying scopes and timelines.
  • Advanced computer skills including a strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, local area networks, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers and firewalls
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Familiarity with routers, switches and firewalls
  • General familiarity with SIEM technology
  • Knowledge in Active Directory and Group Policy configuration and management
  • Expert level experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows operating systems
  • Technical experience supporting and troubleshooting Linux operating systems
  • Technical experience working with hardware associated with servers, workstations and peripherals
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions
  • Familiarity with programming\scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash, Batch
  • Strong understanding of IT security
