Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer role is now open for an individual with knowledge of and hands-on experience in Zulu’s selected coding languages and software environment. The focus of the work is Zulu’s cloud-native platform and suite of airline planning software-as-a-service modules. Zulu has over 40 airline and airport customers with an exciting technology roadmap that includes new AI/machine learning and optimization solutions.

Academic and work experience required for the Zulu Software Engineer role:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field,
• fluency with NodeJS, JavaScript, Python, and Mongo DB,
• expertise with Sencha Ext JS and D3.js visualizations,
• demonstrated experience developing cloud-native code and test applications,
• examples of completed work in system design and coding of applications,
• work experience in software development and architecture,
• familiarity with airline network/schedule planning and related business areas

In this role, you will:

• collaborate with team of developers, production support, and customer support on software projects, creating resolutions of issues and developing solutions,
• perform the quality assurance and integration testing for projects after development is completed and before software is deployed,
• recommend best practice development processes, procedures, and architecture,
• troubleshoot production issues by gathering information and doing root cause analysis to eliminate issues,
• actively collaborate with the other customer and development team members,
• perform other duties as assigned,
• assist in meeting customer-initiated deadlines and company roadmap goals.
