THE BUSINESS

Duel was founded by world-record-breaking adventurer and former brand ambassador Paul Archer, alongside viral games developer Naio Tsarouchis.

They believed that purpose-led brands are changing the way we all live and set out to define how the greatest brands of tomorrow grow through Brand Advocacy. Duel, a B-Corp, exists to show there’s a better way to build businesses; prove that caring for people builds brand, which builds long-term and exponential profit returns.

Our Brand Advocacy Platform allows mid-level to enterprise brands to do just that - scaling how they manage their relationships with thousands of advocates, affiliates, employees and brand ambassadors. We’re proud today that brands such as Elemis, Monica Vinader, Charlotte Tilbury, Rab, Neom and Tropicfeel (to name a few) are doing just that.

The Duel team comprises psychologists, brand experts and community builders from companies including Amazon, Treatwell, Bain, Mimecast and lululemon as well as young entrepreneurs, psychologists and other exceptional talents.

THE JOB

In your role as VP Revenue at Duel Tech you will be responsible for owning the company's revenue number and building a holistic Go-to-market machine that scales from $3m to $10mil and beyond. Responsibilities include:

Strategic Revenue Initiatives:

  • Own the company's revenue/ARR number and track progress against quarterly and annual goals.
  • Develop a strategic plan that identifies and capitalises on new revenue opportunities.
  • Take charge of optimizing revenue-related activities across various departments, including sales, marketing, account management, customer success, and, at times, product or operations.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing strategies, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies.

Go-to-Market and Demand Generation Excellence:

  • Build the machine to create the pipeline that drives the revenue number.
  • Create an outbound motion and train the team to engage with prospects. Yes, that means hitting the pavement, picking up the phone and leading from the front.
  • Further build out the partnerships channel.
  • Lead our marketing team to conceptualize and execute demand-generation strategies that not only generate leads but also bolster brand recognition.
  • Tie together marketing and business development endeavors with sales objectives to streamline lead qualification and conversion.
  • Leverage data-driven insights and analytics to gauge marketing performance and fine-tune marketing campaigns.
  • Adhere to a true growth process, constantly running experiments to identify levers that create exponential returns

Revenue Projection and Reporting:

  • Create and oversee precise revenue forecasting models, delivering regular reports and analyses to the executive team and the board of directors.
  • Keep a watchful eye on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate revenue growth, sales effectiveness, and market penetration.
  • Identify areas needing improvement and implement corrective measures to ensure we meet our revenue targets.

Leadership:

  • Foster a high-performance sales culture underpinned by collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Develop & lead the Sales, Business Development, Partnerships, Growth and Marketing teams to drive overall business growth at Duel.
  • Implement efficacious sales methodologies, enablement programs, processes, compensation and performance metrics to enhance the sales pipeline and ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, ongoing learning, and accountability within the sales organization.

In this pivotal role at Duel Tech, you'll be instrumental in steering our revenue growth and realizing our company's ambitious objectives, all while embodying the unique Duel Tech tone and ethos. We have a product that sells itself, your job will be to roll up your sleeves and turn the business into a growth machine.

EXPERIENCE

  • A track record of driving Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies within the B2B Enterprise SaaS arena, with tangible results. You will have proven history of finding and closing six-figure ARR deals.
  • Proven ownership of revenue growth in companies with sub $10 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), showcasing a history of successful business expansion.
  • A true leader who excels at inspiring and motivating high-performing sales teams, encompassing growth, sales, and business development units.
  • A deep understanding of creating demand for enterprise software, experience of building a GTM from scratch, and testing different models to find one that works
  • Adept Sales leader with hands-on experience in managing larger, complex enterprise clients, with a focus on six-figure Annual Contract Values (ACVs).
  • Experience of building a business development function, driving pipeline through content and events
  • Proven ability to take charge of Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities.
  • Ideally early stage experience - you’ll have been part of a sub $10M ARR journey.
  • Ideally experience of the martech and brand world.
  • Proficient in developing and presenting high-level reports to boards, encompassing revenue growth, marketing effectiveness, and sales pipeline metrics.
