Can you help drive Global IT Operations and develop the relationship between our business units in San Francisco and the Global IT organization? Novo Holdings has a strong focus on continued expansion across global locations and with this new position in the Global IT Team, we want to strengthen the Global IT services even further. From your base in our San Francisco office, you will become a part of the Novo Holdings Global IT team, where you will build a strong collaboration with the San Francisco business units, managing and developing IT services to the level expected of the organization.

As part of our Global IT team, you will manage the global IT services delivered to the San Francisco business units. You will serve as the primary contact point between the global IT organization and San Francisco, driving daily IT operations through service suppliers, leading change initiatives, driving technology adoption, and driving compliance with global IT standards. You will lead San Francisco-specific IT projects and manage IT service suppliers, ensuring that IT services are delivered at the expected quality and cost while ensuring effective communication between the global IT organization and the San Francisco business units. You will be a part of a dedicated IT Operations team, where you will have close collaboration and sparring with your colleagues in the IT Operations team and the rest of the IT organization.

In this role your responsibility will be to:

  • Build and nurture the relationship between the San Francisco business units and the Global IT organization
  • Understand the business needs, goals, and challenges, translating them into technology improvements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for San Francisco colleagues and the Global IT organization
  • Manage the global IT service and operations delivered to the San Francisco business units
  • Ensure high quality and continuous improvement of the global IT services and support
  • Manage global IT projects and improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with international colleagues, external partners, and suppliers
  • Interest in diverse cultures and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate across all levels in the organization
  • Experience with managing international IT services and vendors
  • Experience with IT operations standards, best practices, methodologies, and processes
  • Experience from an international organization with an outsourced IT environment

The Global IT organization operates across multiple time zones; therefore, the role will require flexible working hours and travel activity to a reasonable extent. As this role will be the first dedicated IT role outside of Copenhagen, Denmark, we have a high level of awareness of the requirements this will put upon the existing IT organization to adapt. Also, as this is a newly established role, you will have the opportunity to define and form the role together with the team.

Occasional travel to Boston and Copenhagen offices will be required.
