Help Desk II/Developer

Summary/Objective:

The Level II Developer is self-starter who takes a hands-on approach and helps support our legacy, homegrown ERP systems. This position requires someone who can learn quickly and is very willing to ask questions and work with others and support end-users.

Essential Functions:

• Review and prioritize help desk requests

• Reach out to users via phone and e-mail for additional information.

• Solve ERP help-desk requests via

• Ability to collaborate to solve problems

• Training users

• Fixing data

• Modify/Create scripts and COBOL programs

Technical Competencies:

Programming

TOAD or a similar tool for manipulating data

COBOL

SQL (prefer Oracle SQL including SQL Plus)

Shell (Korn) scripting

Required Education:

Associate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Two years of experience in development and/or support of ERP systems

• Strong people skills
