As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will be involved in creating end-to-end infrastructure solutions as part of a cross-functional team. Your main responsibilities include assisting in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions, supporting infrastructure improvement projects, maintaining and updating existing infrastructure solutions, creating operational documentation, and resolving server (physical and virtual), network and desktop issues.

Responsible for Academy’s server infrastructure and network system comprising of system maintenance; installation and tuning of system software; monitoring of system performance; management and allocation of computer resources; provisioning of system users; backup and system restoration. Responsible for securing systems per Information Security recommendations.

Part of a team responsible for basic database administration duties comprising of installation of SQL Server, Personify and other database applications. Monitoring of SQL Server and other database applications. Maintenance of databases which includes user provisioning, resource usage, and backup and restoration.

Server backup, network, phone and desktop support and alert monitoring primarily at the Rosemont headquarters with limited travel to the Washington D.C office.

Works with DevOps, SQL DBAs and Cloud Engineering to support both on premises and cloud-based projects and improve the provisioning times for IT environments.

Participates in creating documentation for operational readiness activities, designs and builds pilot solutions using new technologies, and implements new product features and enhancements.

Ensures that infrastructure projects are integrated and operate efficiently, and coordinates with colleagues across the enterprise to drive infrastructure builds and resolves any issues that may arise.

Works closely with the Identity and Access Management and Cyber Security teams to properly provision and decommission access to systems as necessary.

Assists with desktop software, OS and hardware upgrades and using SCCM.

Configures and monitors AAOS backup solutions. Consists of backup, restore, on site retention, cloud (Azure) backups and cloud synchronization. Member of the Disaster Recovery team.

Monitors, purchases, and installs DNS name renewal and SSL certificates.

Responsible for 3rd party audio/visual conference subscriptions. Provisioning users and billing reconciliation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of relevant infrastructure engineering, network, and desktop support experience
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, and experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge and skills in infrastructure management
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize activities, and work independently.
  • Familiarity with ITIL v4, IT standards, procedures, and policies
  • Experience in configuring networking components, TCP-IP/tools, VMWare, wired and wireless appliances (using Extreme Networks, Cisco, and Mitel solutions)
  • Ability to simplify and standardize complex concepts and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to prioritize.
  • Drive for cross-functional execution, adaptability, and ability to introduce and manage change.
  • Team player, detail-oriented, and analytical skills.
  • Above average ability in communication and human relations skills
  • Strong organizational skills and user orientation

Desired:

  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields
  • Knowledge of IIS running in Windows 2016, 2019 and 2022
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure specifically in Microsoft Azure
  • 1-2 years of experience of project coordination/management
