Senior Systems Performance Engineer

We have an opportunity for an experienced engineer to join our IT Operations team and manage technical efforts with the goal of reducing risk while improving the efficiency, performance and quality of all systems and platforms. You’ll work closely with various IT groups to lead initiatives regarding performance and tuning of business systems as well as troubleshoot with cross-departmental teams to determine underlying issues and root causes.

You will also ensure that infrastructure and application components follow best business practices; ascertain performance requirements; identify performance bottlenecks; consult and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

* 7 – 10 years of systems analysis or troubleshooting experience

* In-depth understanding of servers, storage and network components and their impact on application performance

* Proven leadership skills

* Knowledge of infrastructure components such as VMWare, Oracle Cloud, AWS, etc

* A background in various technologies including Linux OS, Windows OS, Oracle Databases, SOA, Directory Services, Siebel CRM Java, Microservices and other cloud technologies

* Development experience with an understanding of how application components behave

* Experience with performance analysis tools

* Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion middleware platform, Oracle Financials, Web services, Siebel, Analytics and other business systems running on WebLogic and Apache platforms
