Harbor Lockers is on a mission to build the world's largest network of lockers and we need your help to do it. Our on-demand public locker network is built for developers, entrepreneurs and organizations to improve efficiency by providing alternative drop off, storage, pick up services at scale - and we provide the equipment and tools for them to do it.
We're seeking an experienced, customer-obsessed IoT (internet of things) Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll drive products through numerous components across the IoT Stack, including hardware, software (including developer partner SDK), firmware, connectivity and front-end reporting applications. You'll identify new market opportunities, develop a product strategy and roadmap, work with product owners and development teams to develop new products and features, and guide the go-to-market of those products/features. You'll be working internally with sales, marketing, account management and customer success and externally with our build partner customers and their implementation teams developing and building on our platform.
Responsibilities Include:
- Identify new revenue-generating market opportunities and developing business case/product strategy to address those opportunities
- Develop product strategy and roadmaps for one or more of our target markets (working with the business leads for those markets)
- Manage product-team relationships with current and potential customers
- Define crisp, clear requirements for new products and new product features
- Work closely with software and hardware engineering teams to execute against those requirements
- Manage pilots/proofs-of-concepts of new product features and capabilities
- Manage the deployment of new features/products to market, often in collaboration with major customers
- Develop deep understanding of the needs and preferences of the target and gather and analyze customer and user feedback to inform product decisions
Required skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years of product management and product ownership experience, with a minimum of 3+ in an IoT ecosphere with a track record of delivering revenue-generating products and features to market.
- Experience managing across Hardware, Firmware and Software (SDK facing) products highly desired
- Experience product managing all aspects of software development, including working with UX teams, user testing, requirements development, backlog management, and iterative deployment and development cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to assess market opportunities, determine business and customer needs, and translate those into a feasible product roadmap.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with, and sell new ideas to, senior management and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to creatively figure out scrappy ways to try new ideas before committing large development resources.
- Experience product managing full stack IoT solutions -- across hardware, software (including developer partner SDK), firmware, connectivity, and front-end reporting applications
- Demonstrated ability to grasp complicated technical concepts/architectures, and influence architectural decisions to meet business requirements
- Ability to create product requirements documentation in a clean and concise fashion
- Thrives in an intense, rapidly growing/changing environment
- Experience operating in an Agile development environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
