Information Security Officer

LACERA is the largest county retirement system in the US with approximately 188,000 members and $71 billion in assets under management. LACERA’s Information Security Officer is a trusted member of the Executive Office whose primary focus is to lead the team that develops, manages, monitors, evaluates, and integrates LACERA’s information security and privacy related programs and ensures that all of the organization’s IT systems and data are protected. The ideal candidate has extensive, expert-level, current technical knowledge regarding information security systems and frameworks. They are a proven leader with in-depth knowledge of IT security, IT governance, big data engineering, ransomware, application systems, and cloud and infrastructure security. Requires 6 years of professional information security experience implementing information security programs and/or systems or managing or assisting in the management of an information security program, 3 of which were obtained within the past 5 years and involved direct management of an information security program for a diverse multi-service, public, or private sector organization.

Salary: $135,700.68-$205,394.04, DOQ, plus excellent benefits.
