Job Purpose and Summary

This position is responsible for supervising and performing advanced technical development, integration and support activities with a key role in enterprise development. Work includes managing development and integration strategy activities to facilitate data flow in and out of enterprise systems. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate creativity and thoughtful leadership and use their experience in substantiating proposed solutions to business process owners. Work is performed with considerable independence and reviewed by a superior for attainment of program goals; completion of projects; conformity to standards, operating procedures and best practices; quality and effectiveness of services provided; and overall performance. Supervision is exercised over internal staff and external consultants engaged in enterprise development and integration activities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Supervises, plans and organizes the enterprise development unit’s operations and staff functions including performance management, delegation of work assignments and review of work product.
  • Provides oversight and/or participates in project teams regarding system work efforts related to enterprise systems. Provides guidance and determines how to best support the needs of the end user and ensures the development of technical solutions based on best enterprise system design practices.
  • Responsible for the design, analysis, integration and deployment of enterprise applications, configurations and solutions. Ensures that detailed specifications of enterprise development and integration processes/procedures are properly documented and maintained.
  • Reviews level of effort estimates and proposed change requests. Reviews and analyzes proposed system changes and change requests to determine other potential impacts. Reviews enterprise systems and development objects to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures the appropriate technical support is provided to end users regarding their specific systems, solutions and processes. Assists with complex/escalated issues by troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving concerns.
  • Supervises the development, maintenance and validation of the testing process and ensures the application and/or technical environment meet performance requirements.
  • Reviews and approves the technical preparation of business process procedures, test scenarios, end-user documentation and user manuals. Oversees and assists with knowledge transfer and training to ensure compliance with departmental standards and requirements.
  • Reviews and analyzes changes to legislation, contracts, regulations, business operating procedures and/or systems that may impact business processes. Determines what changes may be necessary to incorporate within the enterprise system.
  • Utilizes various software and/or technology tools to perform job duties.
  • Uses situational awareness to anticipate and prevent accidents.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Licenses

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or closely related field. Equivalent combination of experience and/or education.

Minimum Experience

  • Seven (7) years of experience developing and/or integrating enterprise custom objects or enterprise solutions in at least one of the areas/environments listed below, or combination thereof:
    • SAP Environment (i.e. ABAP, SAP/PI, SAP workflow, forms development, etc.)
    • ServiceNow
    • Microsoft Dynamics
    • Web Development
    • .net Development
    • Integration Development

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

  • Four (4) of the years of experience must be in a leadership and/or project management capacity.
    • Two (2) years in a senior level enterprise development position will be considered equivalent.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position demands include frequent speaking, writing, and reading reports. Position requires frequent work at a computer utilizing business programs and PTC specific operating systems. Position may require occasional travel and/or fieldwork with exposure to roadway traffic. Occasionally works outside of normal business hours for assigned work assignments.

Office environment with low levels of noise, adequate lighting, and comfortable temperature. Field environment may include exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable conditions. Physical environment is generally safe, but safety equipment or precautions must be followed in field conditions.
