Summary:

Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

This is a remote position that may require occasional travel.

The focus of this role is providing backend development support for multiple custom complex scheduling applications. This role would be part of an existing 6–8 person collaborative development team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Backend design and development using Java and REST / RESTful APIs
• Architecture design and implementation
• Manage various user authentication methods
• Maintain database designs and develop scripts
• Review code to identify any inefficiencies
• Analyze software requirements
• Develop and maintain system design documentation
• Implement and manage user authentication
• Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possess 5+ years of experience with the following:
  • Backend development using Java and Java testing frameworks
  • Experience using the Spring Framework
  • Design and development of REST / RESTful API
  • J2EE technologies
    
• Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Possess sole US citizenship as well as having worked in the United States for 3 out of the last 5 years.
• Possess the ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Frameworks: Apache OpenJPA, Hibernate
• Technologies: Web Services (REST) and Restful Services
• Platforms: AWS, Docker Containers, Mainframes
• Application Servers: WebSphere, Tomcat, DB2, MYSQL
• Tools: Git, CI/CD, Swagger, stress test using Junit
