The role of Web Solutions Architect involves the development of technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan. This position is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the application architecture across the system and providing day-to-day technical guidance to the development teams. Oversees all aspects of application development including analyzing business requirements and translating the business requirements into a technical solution. Work with the developers to provide technical details for the proposed solution. Lead development activities for writing code, building prototypes, and demonstrating early-stage technology concepts that provide desired functionality to digital solutions.

  • Collaborates with business development, develops technology and capability road maps and tailorable reference architectures for different service models including systems engineering, system integration, system sustainment, and system operation and maintenance
  • Develops, tests and implements technology solutions and reports on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes
  • Performs the typical functions of a developer role, including putting together application concepts, performing some creative design, rapid prototyping, and high-level, technical review/analysis of recent technologies. Periodically coding and modifying new and legacy applications throughout the full stack using .Net, C#
  • Produces documents relating to application architecture, design steps, integration processes and testing procedures relating to each application developed. This documentation also covers the installation and maintenance of application software as well as guidelines and standards that should be adhered to for each system
  • Provides input in the development of the enterprise architecture, in areas of disaster recovery, data integrity and security. Evaluates and recommends software technologies in these areas. Evaluates alternatives and analyze problems with data infrastructures
  • Develops a working relationship with engineering staff to drive solution features and architectures
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in development of these solutions
  • Continually evaluates recent technologies and provides enterprise-level solution recommendations

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • 6+ years of development experience with proven success in an architecture role (solution, application, or enterprise)
  • Experience in design and development of system architecture to include interface models, system behavior models (including use case and sequence diagrams), network diagrams, data flow models, and traceability of requirements and standards to enterprise architecture models
  • Experience using OO methodologies in designing software solutions
  • Experience collaborating with other developers, leading effective and collaborative design sessions with developers
  • Well-versed in multiple languages/platforms, including C#, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, .NET, JQuery, MS SQL Server
  • Understanding of data governance best practices
  • Excellent communications and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to present proposed solutions to technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable presenting to, and leading, teams during project meetings
  • Must have a passion for continued improvement and making a difference
  • Direct experience with one of the public clouds: AWS, Google or Azure
  • Experience of database technologies such as Cosmos and MSSQL/Oracle
  • Understand or direct experience in Power BI development
  • Direct experience with architecture tools
  • Experience collaborating with multiple teams and ability to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels within and outside of the organization to bring together the solution

Desired:

  • Experience working with association management systems (Personify), CRM systems, SaaS platforms and their customizations / integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices, including continuous integration.
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions in Azure and/or AWS.
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively
  • Understanding IT Infrastructure and Cloud Security
