About the Position:

You will upgrade and continuously improve Social Imprint’s e-commerce technology running currently on Shopify to help the company from $25M to $100M in sales

You will lead our technology team that builds e-commerce stores for our largest clients. You will lead projects from discovery to delivery and contribute to the planning, prioritization, and alignment of projects in collaboration with senior leadership:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and manage Shopify e-commerce platforms for our largest customers and international partners.
  • Integrating our e-commerce stores with various 3rd party services as requested by clients.
  • Scoping large e-commerce builds for our clients.
  • Manage and update custom e-commerce apps built on the Shopify and Ruby on Rails platforms.
  • Scope out and build new custom e-commerce apps on the Shopify and Ruby on Rails platforms based on customer requirements.
  • Keeping the e-commerce platform and custom e-commerce apps secure, compliant, and updated on a regular basis.
  • Manage all technology vendors and find suitable replacements if necessary
  • Project manage all software upgrades and integrations
  • Represent the company’s software development expertise in winning new business along with the sales department.
  • Be the technical point of contact for Clients, 3rd party vendors and Social Imprints Client Management team to successfully demo and deliver e-commerce store launches and feature additions.
  • Manage routine End-to-end audits of all e-commerce stores for any feature, configuration, integration, or miscellaneous issues.
  • Take ownership of all technology aspects of all our e-commerce stores including managing End-to-End 3-Tier Testing for feature requests and store builds.

About You:

  • At least 5+ years of Shopify development and management experience
  • At least 3 years of e-commerce leadership experience
  • Proven track record and experience in project managing large technology projects including software builds and upgrades
  • Proven experience building modern web applications with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
  • Proven experience of managing remote teams distributed globally in multiple time zones with asynchronous communication.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in modern best practices for website performance, CSS architecture, accessibility, & SEO
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL (latest frontend and backend frameworks)
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse management systems and managing integration with e-commerce systems.
  • Strong connection/interest to the social mission of providing higher-paying professional employment and job training to under-served communities

Benefits and Compensation:

  • An annual salary of around $120K DOE/DOQ plus bonus opportunities
