Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Remote Role

Coviu is a catalyst for life-changing online care anywhere. Our purpose-built telehealth platform continues to delight care teams and patients. With over 3.5 million video visits conducted in just the last 12 months alone, Coviu is poised for rapid expansion.

We are experiencing strong demand for clinical applications in our Coviu App store, further underscoring that providers are not only embracing telehealth but insisting on an integrated workflow. With deep integration to leading PMS/EMR solutions and remote patient monitoring, and robust provider adoption, we are excited to both expand our footprint to the U.S. and to continue to evolve the Coviu platform, which today is approaching 100,000 providers.

We employ the latest cutting-edge technologies of WebRTC, modern JavaScript and React on the front end and a micro services infrastructure on the back end using Docker. We are hosted in AWS with an automated deployment pipeline and a large amount of automated monitoring. We are now looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the team.

The Role

As Senior Site Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Working across our AWS infrastructure, sales, engineering and customer success team, translating technical issues between customers and technology team and helping engineers to automate and build first class solutions
  • Creation of Resources, Configuration and DNS & SSL Setup for Enterprise customers, configuration of Deployed Enterprise Platforms
  • Creation and Running of Command line Scripts and Tools
  • Be a part of our on-call team ensuring monitoring and alerting cover the various elements of the platform
  • Support, optimize and enhance the current setup in collaboration with our SRE / DevOps engineers and Engineering Teams
  • Ensure the Coviu platform is operated at the highest security level and cost optimized by implementing monitoring and performance measures
  • Help customers resolve their technical issues with audio, video, web browser or network issues
  • Debugging of issues relating to firewalls, camera, microphone devices and more
  • Support internal development teams with solution design, automation, tools, access and support
  • Providing support during sales process and tender bids in all technical aspects
  • Ensure and support compliance processes and procedures
  • Provide post-sales technical product education and advice to customers on the integration of the company’s products into their business
  • Use your experience in software development, systems engineering and networking to proactively prevent repeatable issues.

Desirable experience and skills

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in AWS
  • Technical understanding of Networking and Communications Technology, including HTTP, HTTPS
  • CI/CD Pipeline experience and deployment automation
  • Docker and docker-compose
  • Security and Compliance tools and workflows (DR / BCP)
  • Knowledge of MacOS, Linux and Windows Systems
  • Customer Facing Experience and good communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills; ability to communicate with both customers and technical teams, translating between both.
  • Ideally someone who has experience in a start-up work environment.

  • Kubernetes experience
  • Networking skills, IP addressing, routine protocols
  • Familiarity with RTP, RTSP, STUN, TURN, SIP, H.323 highly regarded (e.g. via Asterisk, Freeswitch, WebRTC)
  • Coding Experience, we prefer JavaScript
  • Experience monitoring large and scalable systems, applications and networks
  • Experience in technology and/or start-up businesses, preferably within SasS.

Compensation

  • Salary $105k - $135k CAD, depending on experience
