Senior Dev Ops Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Security, our Senior DevOps Engineer will own and maintain Zylo’s AWS infrastructure environment. Zylo’s infrastructure consists of a suite of AWS services in addition to Docker and Terraform. This role offers the opportunity to own the end to end creation and management of the Zylo Infrastructure as it grows rapidly with our platform while working at a ‘startup’ speed..

What you will do:

• Research, Design, Document, and Implement current and future solutions required to align with the platform, security, compliance, and PM teams.
• Perform day to day operations tasks such as access management, incident response, support inquiries, and alerts.
• Refine and replace day to day tasks with a priority focus on automation.
• Own and maintain access to all infrastructure systems and service platforms used to provide the Zylo product.
• Analyze and identify opportunities for infrastructure improvements while providing that feedback to product and development teams.
• Take lead in all production incidents while maintaining internal and external communication update channels.

• Travel expectations for this role: Quarterly travel for on-site team building and collaboration events

What you need:

• At least 2-4 years of in-depth knowledge with the AWS Cloud environment (EC2, RDS, S3, Cloudfront, Lambda, etc)
• Experience in using Terraform to implement Infrastructure as Code with a target of a near hands off environment.
• Confidence in scripting languages such as python and bash
• A security first approach when designing and implementing solutions such as; least privileged access, OWASP Top 10 vulnerability prevention, etc
• Practiced understanding in Incident management methods such as ITIL framework.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge in Azure and GCP
• Certifications in Cloud Platforms
• Previously participated in compliance audits such as SOC2 Type II, ISO27001, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
