About the Position:

You will upgrade and continuously improve Social Imprint’s technology, cyber security, and data security procedures and workflows to help the company from $25M to $100M in sales.

You will lead our technology team that builds e-commerce stores for our largest clients. In addition to leading our technology team, you will oversee the software development team to upgrade our homegrown ERP software that runs almost all aspects of our business. You will lead projects from discovery to delivery and contribute to the planning, prioritization, and alignment of projects in collaboration with senior leadership including:

  • Move our Shopify customer stores to Spree, an open-source e-commerce platform
  • Create and manage future upgrades of a warehouse module, customer service portal, and automated customer onboarding questionnaires
  • Automate our webstore monthly billing statements and reports (currently done manually)

In addition to project managing the above large internal technology projects, you will also manage the following:

  • International partners e-commerce platforms for our largest customers
  • Scoping large e-commerce builds for our clients
  • Getting Soc II Type 1 and 2 certification and implementing necessary policies to achieve it
  • Continuous update of company data and cyber security workflows procedures according to best practices
  • Maintain and upgrade company website built on Wix
  • Review Master Service Agreements, Data Protection Agreements, and other security documents with our legal team
  • Manage all technology vendors and find suitable replacements if necessary
  • Project manage all software upgrades and integrations
  • Represent the company's software development expertise in winning new business along with the sales department

About You:

  • At least 7+ years technical management experience
  • At least 3 years of e-commerce leadership experience
  • Proven track record and experience in project managing large technology projects including software builds and upgrades
  • Proven experience building modern web applications with a focus on e-commerce platforms
  • Proven experience of managing remote teams distributed globally in multiple time zones with asynchronous communication
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in modern best practices for website performance, CSS architecture, accessibility, and SEO
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Working knowledge of data security workflows, procedures, and certifications
  • Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL (latest frontend and backend frameworks)
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management systems and or software
  • Strong connection/interest to the social mission of providing higher paying professional employment and job training to under-served communities

Benefits and Compensation:

  • An annual salary of around $200K DOE/DOQ plus bonus opportunities
