Mobile Developer

Acres is looking for an experienced Mobile Developer based in Fayetteville, AR who will work with the development team to build the most accurate, comprehensive, and usable farmland maps application available. This position will help implement the latest mapping and mobile technologies to create services and data solutions that meet the needs of investors, farmers, brokers, and landowners. The ideal candidate will be an experienced mobile developer with a passion for building exciting new projects. Core Responsibilities

• Develop and support a fully functional mobile mapping application by writing clean and testable code
• Prepare specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Devise and execute unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
• Design software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Organize documentation and maintenance of software functionality
• Work together with the product development team to plan new features
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics
• Provide support and consulting on software systems usage
• Help define and communicate technical and design requirements

Key Competencies/Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• 2+ years of professional experience as a mobile developer
• 2+ years experience working in React Native
• 1+ years experience with Typescript
• 2+ years of experience with iOS development using Swift or Objective-C
• 2+ years of experience with Android development using Java or Kotlin
• 3+ years of experience using code versioning tools like Git
• Excellent knowledge of API specifications
• Familiar with design principles and scaling applications
• Ability to write clean, scalable, standards-compliant, reusable, quality code
• Comfort working in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing web and/or mobile mapping applications, Mapbox API preferred
• Familiarity with geospatial data standards such as geoJSON or WKT
• Experience working with Objective-C
• Experience working with Kotlin
• Experience building/leading a tech team
