BRANY is also a premier resource for research support services for hospitals, academic medical centers, and investigators, among its other ventures.

General Summary/Objective:

This mid to senior-level .NET Developer position will help design, code, and support our custom Learning Management System (LMS) web application and associated systems. The Developer will, under general supervision, follow specifications to perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. In some cases, they will need to develop complete specifications based on general objectives and functionality requirements for CITI Program's business operations; and maintain and modify programs and related components of the organization's systems environments to meet those needs. Responsibilities also may include maintenance of internal and customer-facing documentation of system functionalities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations, and support.
  • Understand requirements end to end, both technical and functional, and translate them into cloud-native solutions.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of OWASP security concepts and their application in a Microsoft .NET and SQL environment.
  • Conduct system design activities and reviews of detailed application module specifications, classes, objects, methods, and other software components.
  • Modify applications according to approved changes, develop detailed programming logic, and implement coding changes. Also, create or amend supporting documentation such as flow charts and data structure diagrams, as needed.
  • Test and develop modifications and help write test scripts for QA and UAT teams, as needed.
  • Evaluate interrelationships between systems and applications and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external users to understand needed changes or modifications to existing systems and applications for strategic planning.
  • Provide after-hours support and problem resolution for applications and systems as needed, including escalated levels of support to complement primary Help Desk support services.

Education required:

Degree in computer science, software engineering, system analysis, or a related field of study. Certifications will be considered.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years of work-related experience.
  • Broad knowledge of object-oriented programming practices and standards.
  • Proficiency in programming Microsoft .NET environment with emphasis on .NET Core, C#, ReactJS or similar, and SQL. Other skills/experience: ASP.NET MVC and Razor, Web API, HTML5/CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Web Services, and Source Control.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes, and Trello. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Experience with Scrum Framework and Agile Methodology.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Global Delivery Model and working with remote teams.
  • Experience building a SOAP or REST API. Experience with event-driven architecture, Webhooks, and Message Queues.
  • Experience with an iPaaS solution like Mulesoft, Boomi, Celigo, or Zapier.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Apex code.
  • Familiarity with online learning or training systems is highly desirable.

Location:

*Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Telecommuting up to 100% may be considered for exceptional candidates, but occasional travel to the office may still be required.

Physical Demands and Environment:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally moves computer equipment weighing less than 10 pounds. This position operates in an office environment using standard office equipment. The position requires the individual to see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers, and reach with hands and arms.

Travel:

Occasional travel to the Ft. Lauderdale office may be required, even for 100% telecommuting employees. Occasional travel may also be needed for industry conferences and/or training.
