Lulworth Stone is a growing defence and security technology company at the forefront of developing unique and innovative tools that enhance national security.

Lulworth Stone is formed around a core team of highly experienced Special Military Unit and British Intelligence officers who all have a significant depth of knowledge and skill within the full spectrum of military and security service operations and training.

Over the past 2 years, Lulworth Stone has worked with external development teams to build proprietary AI powered human performance applications and strategic consequence management tools. Growing on this initial and rapid success, Lulworth Stone is now seeking to build an in-house technology and R&D team to build privately funded defence and security software.

Currently we have a primary focus on:

  • Character/face/pattern/movement recognition – ML Kit integration
  • Machine learning models
  • Emerging radio modulation and location technologies (UWB) and Pulse-position modulation
  • Emerging data encryption technologies

As a part of this growth, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a broad skill set and experience delivering greenfield projects through to market. This role will work closely with our front-end design, and subject matter experts in defence innovation teams within the company.

The Job:

  • Software development across a broad range of classes
  • To plan and manage the development strategy for several ongoing projects
  • To play a leading role in development of back-end logic and process
  • To manage junior developers in the delivery of key project areas
  • To liaise with front end and UX/UI teams to ensure “user first” approach to our products

You will likely have:

  • Strong engineering experience from the industry, along with academic pursuits & studies in the areas of: Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • High proficiency in C++ and Python
  • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages such as Go, Rust, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience of using Unity
