Senior Java Developer

What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be a key member of the team that delivers the advanced orchestration and automation of complex end user computing platform (virtual desktops, applications and digital workspace) from start to end across different cloud environments. You will be responsible for the development of Dizzion’s software platform - Cosmos Control Center (C3) portal; that automatically builds, customizes, and operates an advanced digital workspace. You will have expert knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle,including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. You will be encouraged to work across all layers of code while maintaining a firm understanding of software architecture while conforming to the reference architecture. This position requires development skills in Core Java, Javascript, Golang, some Python and Powershell; including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.

In addition, you will have hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between (analysis and approach to the problem). This role requires a solid understanding of TCPIP, Cloud services, Virtualization, Containers, installing Linux web-based solutions, networking concepts, micro-services, and event driven architecture.

Lastly, you will have experience with distributed computing and enterprise systems, driving the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications including but not limited to databases, tools, systems and services using service-oriented architecture, object-oriented design, distributed programming, Java, and SQL.

What Other Skills Give Me an Advantage?

• BS in Computer Science or related field

• 7+ years of engineering/development experience including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis

• 3+ SaaS application development

• 5+ Years Experience with Cloud Technologies, virtualization, containers, web services, rest, APIs

• Expert Understanding of Distributed systems and Micro-services

• 5 + years’ development experience with Java, spring boot, JDK8, (JDK 11 preferred)

• 5 + years’ experience with Oracle Databases (MySQL)

• 5 + years’ experience with API Development, design patterns, standards

• 5+ years’ experience with JavaScript Frameworks ( Angular, Node, Vue, React)

• 5 + year experience with AWS

• Build a new Development team from the ground up

• Create roadmaps and break down large tasks in to achievable goals

• Train and mentor Junior Developers

• Able to work with Offshore team in Noida, India

• Excellent debugging, unit and functional testing

• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills

• Strong work ethic and professional integrity

• Ability to handle multiple competing matters with poise

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in core java, multi-threading, garbage collection

• Experience with frameworks such as spring-boot

• Experience with Linux, performance engineering, observability practices

• Experience with TCPIP, Cloud services, Virtualization, Containers, installing Linux web-based solutions, networking concepts, micro-services, and event driven architecture

• Experience working in a tech industry a definite plus but not required

• Understanding of cloud deployment tools such as: Jenkins, Bamboo and Urban Code Deploy

• Experience with Java, Spring, HTML5, CSS, C++, Python, JavaScript, Redux, Angular, REACT, Golang

• TCP/IP Socket and REST API services programming with Java and Java frameworks

• Data security, encryption, and understanding of PCI compliance and requirements

• Experience with Rally, JIRA, SharePoint

• Experience in Agile

• Experience with Lambda

• Experience with Aurora Postgres

• Experience with MongoDB

• Knowledge of Elasticsearch

• Tenacious learner with a passion for teaching others

The hiring manager for this role is Robert Green, President, CTO, and co-founder at Dizzion. Rob is the

visionary for defining Dizzion’s products. He oversees all aspects of technology including strategy, infrastructure, systems, tools and development. Green previously held the position of Director, Product Development and System Architecture at ViaWest. While at ViaWest he redefined the managed services offering and created several innovative products. Green also served as the Director of Technical Infrastructure for Rackspace Managed Hosting where he established the internal infrastructure systems and external technical services that fueled exploding triple digit growth throughout the mid 2000’s.

Compensation

• $150,000 -$160,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, and alignment of market data.)

• Quarterly and annual bonus program
