Description:

  • We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer who will partner closely with business, analytics and engineering teams to lead the design, build and maintenance of data systems and applications.
  • Lead teams from across the system to collect required data from internal and external systems, design data storage structures and build performant automated data pipelines that are reliable and scalable in a fast growing data ecosystem.
  • Leverage strong understanding and expertise of data modeling principles and modern data platforms to create logical and physical data model architecture, data extract/transform/load processes, reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Experience using analytic SQL, working with traditional relational databases and/or distributed systems such as AWS S3, Hadoop / Hive, Redshift.

Qualifications:

  • Degrees: Bachelors
  • Additional Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years recent experience in data engineering and end to end automation of data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of relational & NoSQL databases and data structures required.
  • Strong understanding of data science and business intelligence workflows.
  • Programming experience ideally in Python & Java.
  • Experience with large-scale data warehousing and analytics projects, including using AWS technologies.
  • Proven track record of successful communication of analytical outcomes through written communication, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams, including engineering, IT, product management, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Experience with machine learning toolkits. Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
