The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Director of Computing Services to work in the Office of OneIT. The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited university is required. 5 years of management experience with higher education experience preferred, part-time, or full-time employees. 5 years experience in Tier 2/Tier 3 customer support within Information Technology (infrastructure, operations, or development). 5-7 years of experience working within Information Technology, preferably in an academic setting. Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proven record of managing budgets, directing, and motivating staff to deliver client-oriented services.

Essential Job Duties: The Director of Computing Services (DCS) provides leadership in the application and use of computing technology in support of the College of Engineering’s mission. The Director of Computing Services (DCS) guides the development, operation, and vision of the computing resources that support the college’s research, teaching, and service objectives. The DCS provides assistance and support to department and college computing initiatives and serves as a source of technical expertise for matters related to engineering computing.
