Your Role
As a member of our Global Senior Management Team, reporting into our Global CEO, the Chief People Officer will lead, hire and develop the People department, introducing a mission and strategy for the department as well as best-of class processes for all things' people at FINN such as talent acquisition, people experience, personal development and people operations for the Europe and the USA. Additionally, you build and foster a highly effective, sustainable and inclusive culture at FINN, allowing the company to achieve its goals effectively.

Your Responsibilities

    • Build and lead a world-class people department: You will support an organization that is growing from 250 people as of today to 440 people by the end of the year - of which 90 people will be in the USA and 350 in Europe. You set up a strategy for the People department whilst building and developing the people department at FINN. Therefore, you lead and hire several VPs who are responsible for Talent Acquisition, People Experience, Personal development & People strategy as well as People operations in both Europe and the USA. Under your leadership, the people department at FINN will grow from 20 today to 40 at the end of 2022.
    • Enable the growth of FINN: Together with your teams, you will be responsible for winning new talent across all our teams for all disciplines such as business and engineering. You will further introduce new people acquisition processes, standards and measures that enable FINN to grow fast and effectively.
    • Partner with the business: You and your team are responsible to introduce a structured feedback process, ensure coherence of career steps, titles and salary structure across all positions. You are responsible for setting up and executing all people management processes as lean and fast as possible. Moreover, you will act as a trusted advisor to our senior management in all people-related matters.
    • Ensure employee satisfaction and development: Together with your teams, you are responsible for planning and conducting regular team events and setting up career development and training plans. Additionally, you help to provide structures for and promote company-wide knowledge sharing.
    • Build and maintain a highly effective, sustainable and inclusive culture that is aligned across Europe & the USA: You are a key ambassador for our values and will run initiatives and provide coaching to reinforce them. In addition, you are responsible for setting up structures promoting a highly effective, sustainable and inclusive culture at FINN. Being in New York, you are one of our pillars to align our culture across Europe and the USA.
    • Run the FINN HQ(s): You are responsible to lead our efforts to make sure that both our headquarters in Munich and New York are representative of our culture, always well-equipped and foster a highly effective culture and efficient collaboration.

Your Profile

    • 8+ years of experience in leading an HR/People department or team in a large and fast-growing organization, preferably helping a team to grow from 200 to 1,000+ employees. Having worked at a publicly listed company is a plus.
    • Proven professional high-impact achievements across different areas of HR/People.
    • Graduated with an outstanding academic record; MBA preferred.
    • Profound understanding of all people disciplines such as talent acquisition of tech and business talent, employee relations, personal & organizational development, leadership, talent and performance management, organizational development, empowering an effective, sustainable & inclusive culture, HR strategy, conflict management, people operations & compensation.
    • Empathetic listener with a genuine interest in understanding colleagues and clients’ viewpoints.
    • Great communication skills - you can provide clear & concise guidance through all forms of communication.
    • You are liked for your kindness and open-mindedness - but you also know where constructive criticism is needed
    • Strong ability to Identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently.
    • To help build our culture, you will work 3 or more days per week onsite in our US Headquarters in the heart of Manhattan. Additionally, you will travel to Europe once a quarter to meet with the European teams.
