The NetSuite Developer serves as the primary enterprise resource and champion for our company’s NetSuite system. This role works in coordination with the Director of Operations, while assisting multiple departments to ensure complete understanding of our company’s system processes and usage. The NetSuite Developer will assist in developing, testing and implementing new features and processes, user administration, user training and customizing for scaling the growth of the business. This role will be responsible for system documentation, hands-on processing, and other technical administration requirements, while maximizing the daily system activities and maintaining operational excellence. The NetSuite Developer works closely with sales operations and technical staff in cross-team projects and deliverables. This role works under general supervision with latitude to make decisions and to handle complex work activities and problem solving within scope of responsibility. This is a REMOTE position.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Act as the primary NetSuite resource and champion in the company with responsibility for continued deployment, adoption, training and system administration, including 3rd party integrations with NetSuite.
  • Translate business needs into detailed requirements and provide solutioning that allow NetSuite capabilities and functionality to drive efficiencies and process maturity.
  • In coordination with the Director of Operations, gather user/process information, create functional requirements/business process flows, design specs and implement in NetSuite.
  • Develop NetSuite dashboards and provide users with relevant reports and KPI’s.
  • Handle management and design of custom record types, fields, forms, roles and permissions, page layouts, searches, reports and the overall NetSuite data model.
  • Develop, manage and troubleshoot resolutions for streamlining automation flows.
  • Handle application integration with 3rd parties’ applications including OpenAir, Ultimate Software, reporting/intelligence systems and other applications as necessary.
  • Evaluate NetSuite updates, develop text scripts and communicate with other system users as required in response to new releases.
  • Create technical requirement documentation, SOPs and provide training to internal users as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of latest technology and software for integration to improve process and user interaction with NetSuite.
  • Provide/handle testing updates, to include notifying the organization of updates to the system, relaying system impact/changes to the field and updating SOPs if changes are needed as a result of updates.
  • Assist Director of Operations in managing project timelines and priorities, identifying organizational requirements, scoping level of effort and assisting with ROI visibility for presentation to Executive Management.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in a hands-on role in a technology company.
  • Minimum 3 years handling NetSuite system development and implementation.
  • Experience evaluating technology requirements for business processes and optimizing processes and technology for higher efficiency and productivity.

Nice to have:

  • Certifications: NetSuite Consultant, NetSuite Administrator, Suite Foundation, ERP Consultant, SuiteCloud Developer Certification a plus.
