What you will be doing:

• Leading development teams through the design and development of scalable Java based services and applications in the cloud by following standard software patterns and best practices
• Migrating legacy code to a Java-based codebase
• Write clean, testable code that is simple to read and understand
• Work with both relational and NoSQL databases
• Interface with 3rd Party APIs and IOT frameworks
• Maintain the codebase in an agile development environment

You have:

• 10+ Years developing with Java
• Expert with Spring framework, Spring Boot and standard java based tool sets
• AWS cloud familiarity - Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront
• Experience building and working around IAC (CDK, Terraform)
• Expert knowledge, experience, and appreciation of Agile software development processes
• Experience working with Git and Github with standard SCM branching techniques
• Leadership experience and familiarity with performing code reviews, providing feedback, and developing in a continuous delivery environment
• Microservice development
• OO design principles and patterns (SOLID)
• Experience with TDD, unit testing, and mocking frameworks
• API Integration via REST and Graph
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Nice to have:

• Experience working with multiple cloud providers (AWS, AZURE, GCP)
• Experience working with multiple server-side languages (ie. .NET, Java, Node.js, PHP)
• DevOps experience in a cloud environment
• Cloud certs or the desire to obtain them
