As a Data Visualization Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining world-class dashboards and reports for our Brands. Utilizing a modern tech stack, you will build embedded analytics solutions that are consumed daily by users seeking insight across the entire e-commerce spectrum. Reporting to the Director of Insights Delivery, you will own and iterate data visualization projects from wireframing to publishing and help us raise the bar for how we showcase data to the world.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain dashboards that will be used in our Unified Analytics embedded solution
- Contribute to the project roadmap, helping to define how/what we expose to our brands
- Wireframe and create proof of concepts inside design tools for feedback and collaboration
- Explore available data sources to discover insights, apply actionable concepts, and uncover potential alternative new sources or structures
- Review and improve existing visualization solutions and collaborate with teams to integrate new concepts
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a Data Visualization, business intelligence, and or data analyst role, preferably within the e-commerce space
- Strong proven proficiency with Data Visualization tools, such as Tableau
- Experience using advanced SQL in a cloud data warehouse environment (such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or RedShift)
- Ability to create actionable insights, with less emphasis on simple descriptive analytics
- A strong sense of creativity and curiosity – we are not looking to re-create your standard, run-of-the-mill business dashboards
Bonus Points:
- Tableau Desktop certifications and an up-to-date public portfolio
- Knowledge of Tableau Server concepts at scale, including embedded analytics solutions
- Advanced programming languages, developer experience, charting libraries
- Understanding of design tools for wireframing, such as Figma or Miro
- Familiarity with advanced statistics, ML algorithms, and other data sciences
