Consumer Group Staff Product Manager

About our group:

The Consumer Solutions Group’s Product Management Team carefully reviews market trends and user interaction for storage devices and value-added software to contribute to roadmap plan and product strategies. The team includes Product Managers, UX Designers, Documentation Writers/Editors and a Data Scientist. This role will be part of the Marketing Product Management team report to the Head of Product Management of Consumer Solutions Seagate.

About the role - you will:

• Be responsible for assessment of existing and potential markets, product life cycle planning, coordination of technical product development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities and product launch.
• Plan, develop and implement multiple channel programs, and direct the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s).
• Maintain current status of customer requirements for existing and future products.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives.
• Engage and work closely with key business partners to extend product market share and win more vertical category customers such as Xbox, Sony PlayStation etc and etc.
• Direct the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing.
• Monitor the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share.
• Reduce broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans.
• Oversee market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
• Communicate customer feedback to engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).

Your experience includes:

• Working experience in a product management role
• Leading new product definition and business plans with joint departments.
• Developing business plans, product strategy, and forecasts for assigned product lines.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
