Navigate360 protects people where they learn, work and gather with help from data scientists, linguists, and software engineers who develop our scalable AI-powered Language Engine. The Software Engineer will work with the other members of the engineering team to design, implement, and support solutions for our company offerings. The Detect development team is small, values open discussion and curiosity, encourages people to challenge and optimize the system, and collaborates with teams across the company to roll out features to market.

Duties / Responsibilities:
- Work with the other members of engineering team to design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain our software applications
- Write documentation
- Investigate and fix defects and issues
- Collaborate with our Product team to define features and write user stories
- Partner with and support our Data Science team
- Support the Product Operations team as needed
- Write clean, scalable, well documented, maintainable code
- Utilize cloud technologies like AWS Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and more
- Employ a DevOps mindset to build highly scalable software
- Prioritize a great user experience for our clients
- Be resourceful, flexible, and an excellent collaborator
- Communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and orally
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 or more years of software development experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong skills with JavaScript, Node.js and Cloud platforms
- A proven ability to write clean, readable, well designed, maintainable code
- Demonstrated proficiency with most or all of these
- Java and knowledge of Java ecosystem
- PHP and Laravel
- Python or R
- AWS services Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, SQS, EC2, RDS, etc
- Docker
- React
- Terraform
- Git
- Knowledge of databases - SQL, NoSQL, and ORM technologies
- Agile development methodologies Scrum and Kanban
- Object-oriented programming concepts
- Modern design and architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless architecture, single responsibility principle
- Development tools like Jira and Confluence
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ or more years of relevant experience.
