Education Week, a nonprofit media organization that provides news on K-12 American education, is seeking an Advertising Sales Support Specialist to join our Advertising Operations team.

Job Summary

The Advertising Sales Support Specialist facilitates delivery of digital advertisements, works closely with our sales and marketing staff and their clients and other internal EPE staff to execute and report on print and online advertising campaigns. This person will be responsible for coordinating operations across our full product suite by managing logistics, communicating with clients, coordinating internal resource, and tracking inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee an Ad Tracker to ensure campaigns launch on time, materials are delivered, and sales understands available inventory
  • Manage the execution of our entire webinar process by working cross functionally and directly with clients
  • Aid in EdWeek’s print production by checking page standards, adding advertisements, and approving for sending to printer
  • Provide detailed account management – supporting all products – for all EdWeek clients
  • Assist in completion of sales process by creating contracts, managing spec sheets, and securing client approvals.
  • Think strategically about new technologies, and recommend new options
  • Work to continually improve processes by recommending improvements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3-5 years related experience
  • Knowledge of print and online production
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of staff and clients
  • Project management skills, ability to concurrently manage ongoing and widely varied production cycles
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, good time management, organizational and prioritization skills.

Candidates that live within regular commuting distance to the office are willing to relocate to the DC/MD/VA area are preferred.
