POSITION SUMMARY
Design and implement software products, while leading minor engineering efforts &/or participate as a senior member on major engineering efforts.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
Responsible for translating software requirements into technical design documentation and working software. Making changes and fixes to existing software products as needed/required. Investigating new technology approaches including the creation of proof-of-concept solutions.

Design and implement software products and/or product features Create new software products/features |
Security and Quality Compliance |
Identify any breaches or potential breaches of corporate Information Security standards and communicate those to appropriate individuals Unit testing, development, and execution Adhere to all corporate Information Security policies and procedures Maintain and improve existing software products/features |
Planning and Project Management |
Initiate and/or participate in technical architecture and major design discussions Collaborate and share technical knowledge with Product Managers and other software engineers |
Maintains integrity, availability, and confidentiality of all PHI Adheres to HIPAA standards for information security, privacy, and confidentiality Other technical duties as assigned Technical mentorship of team member engineers |
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred: Master’s Degree in mathematics, computer science, or statistics
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 7 years previous work experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Team Lead working in object-oriented programming

- Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and diplomacy skills; the ability to interact effectively in person (remote) and in writing with people of various professional and cultural backgrounds; prior exposure to a diverse, multicultural work environment.
- The ability to communicate fluently in English; bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus.

- Self-starter, ability to work independently, meet established deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a professional blended office environment that includes the requirement to operate both in-office and remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and information technology.

- Constant computer work which may require repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.

Less than 10% travel may be expected for this position.
