The Team
The Development Team works closely with the Product Management Team and Quality Assurance on designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing innovative application management products that will satisfy immediate IT requirements as well as provide opportunities for long-term expansion.
Our ideal team member will bring at least 3-5 years of engineering and software development experience for this role
Job Overview
The Senior Lead Developer is the technical leader for our growing software development team and helps scale our products for our clients. This team member applies and oversees engineering principles, techniques and scientific methods in IT. Develops and maintains software per company’s requirements with assistance from mid-level and lead developers.
Key aspects of this position is to lead projects through all phases of the software development cycle and serve as mentors to mid-level developers .
Skills and Qualifications
- Must have master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, business, or equivalent work experience
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing Linux based infrastructure
- Must have 5 years of hands-on experience at least in one scripting language i.e. Ruby, ReactJS, Typescript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, Javascript (familiarity with React 17 preferred)
- Must possess 5 years of hands-on experience with databases i.e. PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch (Redis)
- Must have experience with TDD testing principles : rspec, capybara, Jest, and react-testing-library
- Must have 3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Service
- Verify and validate fellow developers’ code
- Able to pass a security background check
- Occasional travel required
- Ability to actively contribute to a positive and cohesive team environment
- Work effectively with Mobilize staff at all levels, in all departments
- Able to work with diverse, geographically distributed teams
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Extra Points
- Familiarity with container-based and infrastructure-as-code devops strategies such as Docker, Teraform, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, etc
