Software QA Engineer Team Lead

The Position

iD Tech is looking for a Software QA Engineer Team Lead with an analytical approach and an eye for detail to join a team that delivers unique, best-in-class products with exceptional quality. In this role, your responsibilities will include working with the Quality Assurance Team to oversee all aspects of product testing. You will also review system requirements and support troubleshooting issues found in the field. The Responsibilities

• Lead a team of four or more QA Engineers
• Review test plans and test cases for the team
• Validate requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Perform functional testing on a variety of software products
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify the potential for any operational issues and resolve the issues before the features are complete
• Collaborate with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing)
• Preview new features to stakeholders throughout the project
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts and present metrics to the team and management
• Participate in deployments
• Effectively collaborate and coordinate with remote team members in different time zones
• Proactively participate in maintaining team standards and best practices

The Qualifications

• 5+ years in manual testing experience including system, regression, and integration testing
• 3+ years supervisory experience
• Experience in complex database/logic testing
• Experience testing websites on desktop and mobile devices
• Experience with content management systems
• Clear understanding of Web API Endpoints and how to test them
• Able to follow established processes and / or create new processes if necessary
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and use them to draw logical conclusions
• Strong knowledge of current software QA methodologies and processes
• Excellent communication, documentation and typing skills
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Working knowledge of tools such as TestRail, Jira, Confluence, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree in a computer related field, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• Experience writing technical documentation
• Knowledge of HTML, Javascript, Java
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience writing code in one or more languages including Java, Javascript, Python, C#, etc
