As the VP of Sales you are responsible for using your knowledge of company products or services to connect with consumers and generate sales for the company. Your duties include developing sales pitches to sell products or services, making cold calls to sales leads or taking calls from prospective customers and maintaining documentation of their sales like invoices or client contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable about the product
- Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs
- Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems
- Answer questions about the products
- Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
- Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
- Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships
- Prospect and qualify new sales leads
- Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects
- Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company products
- Track all sales activities in company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly
- Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments
- Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
- Meet and/or exceed quotas
- Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 2-4 years of sales experience
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of CRM systems
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Software Engineering
- Minimum of three prior work years as an embedded engineer
- Language: Proficient in English (Mandarin a plus)
- References: Minimum of two from previous and current employer
- Valid driver license
- Successful drug screening
- Successful criminal history screening
Position Details:
- USA (Charlotte based preferred but flexible)
- Reports to President of the Company
- Flexible on home versus office based
- Re-location flexible but not required
- Percentage of domestic travel required 20%
- Percentage of international travel required: 5%
