About the Role

As the Director of Engineering, you will lead several mobile teams in designing and delivering new and enhanced product features. You will manage development efforts from initial design through testing/deployment while providing strategic direction to the entire department.

You will also be expected to:

• Direct and oversee software engineering activities in the development, release, and maintenance of mobile applications
• Manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and provide leadership for multiple development teams
• Recruit, manage, train and mentor development staff
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop business and user requirements
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural decisions
• Move your teams toward the goals of higher autonomy, automation, and CI/CD

About You

• Entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated ability to achieve goals in an innovative, fast-paced environment
• At least 5 years in a technical leadership role, and 10+ years developing production SaaS code for mission critical services, and 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and leading an engineering team delivering iOS, Android apps and SDKs.
• Ability to drive a culture of quality, personal accountability, and strong relationships with internal and external colleagues and clients
• Expert in Agile / DevOps principles and practices including automated testing, TDD, CI/CD, and incremental design & architecture.
• Familiarity with the following technologies: iOS, Android, Swift, node.js, Java, Kotlin, JSON, Firebase, AWS/Cloud infrastructure
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering
