Role

Take the lead on building and deploying a web-based interactive live-streaming system that brings stunning visual quality to any device in real-time. With your wide-range of engineering skills, build out a backend cloud system to provide new interactive tools for 3D visualization, including support for logging, instrumentation and analytics. Be a part of a small, focused engineering team responsible for the entire production lifecycle and development process.

Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure for a live-streaming interactive 3D application running in the cloud, serving multiple web clients in real-time.
• Work with front end and 3D application engineers to integrate and deploy their software, while reporting regularly on progress, roadblocks, and development alternatives & tradeoffs.
• Setup and maintain systems for continuous application deployment and cloud resource management.
• Analyze system reliability, performance and costs, and develop strategies to improve them, and develop strategies to scale the system.
• Troubleshoot end-user problems, recommend and implement solutions to detect and fix issues.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years experience engineering software and networking platforms
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP), and cloud automation libraries (Terraform, Boto), and streaming technologies like WebRTC
• Experience with back-end server languages and environments, such as C#, and Node.js.
• In-depth understanding of CI/CD systems like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, etc.
• Experience with internet communication protocols, including HTTP and WebSockets
• Experience with front-end web languages, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with REST APIs, and browser-level troubleshooting and debugging

Desired

• Familiarity with game engines like Unreal and Unity
• 3D Graphics programming expertise
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and tools (e.g. Jira)
• Experience in a start-up environment
