The Infrastructure Systems Architect is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the Judiciary’s Windows, Linux and VMware on premise and cloud environments. This position reports to and works directly with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to receive direction on system design and implementation requirements. This position will also work with other infrastructure support teams to ensure these systems are configured appropriately to work with various infrastructure components.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five (5) years of professional work experience in solution architecture, application design and support, environment configuration, software deployment, or software development.
Note: Professional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skill in, and advanced expertise with, VMware technologies, to include vCenter, ESXi, TKGI, NSX-T, Log Insights, vRNI, and vROps.
- Skill in, and advanced expertise with, Windows server technologies, to include Window Server (2012R2 – 2019), Active Directory, DHCP, File Services, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
- Skill and expertise in Red Hat Linux server technologies, to include RHEL (7 & 8), Satellite, Ansible Tower, and Insights.
- Skill and expertise in Microsoft’s Azure platform, with a focus on cloud storage (Azure Files and Blob storage).
- Skill and expertise with backup platforms, both on premise and cloud.
- Skill and expertise in working with customers and other technical teams to resolve technical issues.
- Skill and expertise in creating thorough documentation to be used by technical teams and end users in issue resolution.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, CI/CD pipeline tools, such as GitLab, ArgoCD, Istio, and kpack.
- Skill and experience with leading technical project teams.
- Skill in planning, organizing, developing, and understanding of project management principles.
- Skill in writing and presenting.
- Ability to think and act strategically and proactively.
- Ability to lead highly technical projects.
