Software Engineer

Our proprietary technology powered by cutting-edge AI, Machine Learning and Computer Vision ensures PIM (Product Information Management) quality in seconds, with 100% accuracy for leading CPG brands and retailers.

We are seeking a Software Engineer to build out features for our suite of internal and external web tools at every layer of the stack. You’ll be responsible for creating features from our Postgres database all the way our Angular 5 and Vue.js frontends. The ideal candidate is a generalist who would enjoy working on both a client facing SaaS solution as well as internal tooling to ensure all products are feature complete and meeting the needs of our users.

On top of that the team has a relaxed culture and working hard doesn't mean we don't have fun. Working closely with the Head of Engineering, this role will be crucial in shaping the practices and culture of the team.

Responsibilities:

On any given day, projects you might work on include:

• Build out our suite of internal and external web tools using modern patterns and technologies
• Deploying new code changes and verifying deployments managed via Kubernetes and Jenkins
• Creating new code patterns for developers to follow and re-designing existing code patterns
• Providing support to users when necessary - this may include after hours support
• Implement best design practices and build maintainable, scalable systems
• General duties will include developing new features from end-to-end, deploying new code changes and verifying deployments, and production support.

Qualifications:

• Relevant technical experience with ideally 5+ years experience building web applications end-to-end with modern web frameworks (ideally Vue, Angular, or React).
• Associates Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields preferred.
• Expert level knowledge of software design patterns and code frameworks (frontend, backend and databases)
• Knowledge and experience in the areas of: Javascript, Python/Flask, SQL

• Docker

• RabbitMQ
• PostgreSQL
• Google cloud platform experience a plus
• QA automation experience a plus
