Driver Recruiter

TrueNorth is on a mission to overhaul the trucking industry by focusing on the people who actually do the work — the drivers. Our team, made up of alums Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Tesla, Facebook, YC, and more, is building software that will become the operating system of trucking. We’ll succeed by automating busywork, cutting out middlemen, and ensuring that the people who do the lion’s share of the work take home the lion’s share of the profits.

Your role

As a recruiter, you’ll engage new ICO leads, discuss the benefits of joining TrueNorth, and grow the fleet. As a fast growing startup, this role is critical to TrueNorth’s long term success and you must be comfortable with a high volume, high stress environment. Succeeding in this role means that you are helping hundreds (maybe thousands) of ICOs to live a better life and earn a fair wage.

You'll thrive in this role if you:

• Are compassionate, empathetic, and excited to work closely with ICOs to help their businesses succeed
• Have at least 2 years of trucking experience (preferably in a sales role)
• Are comfortable handling a high volume of leads
• Have demonstrated success working with truck drivers
• Default to improving processes vs. following a playbook

Day-to-day duties

• Contact new ICO leads in a timely and professional manner
• Qualify ICO leads to see if we are a good fit to work together
• Effectively sell the benefits of joining TrueNorth
• Quickly handoff ICO leads to the Onboarding team
• Maintain clean CRM records
