General Description:

This position is responsible for the design and development of full stack web applications that meet the needs of the business. In this role, you will combine your unique blend of technical knowledge, practical experience, and development skills to define, develop, and deliver applications that demonstrate and showcase on cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our workplace mission, vision, and values.
  • Planning, designing, and developing cloud-based web applications utilizing MEAN/MERN stack.
  • Developing UI with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS/ReactJS.
  • Experience in designing & building RESTful web services & APIs, integrating them with existing data providers, using JSON or XML as needed.
  • Experience in designing and developing cloud APIs using the Java/Net/NodeJS/python.
  • Experience on working with relational RDBMS like MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience on working with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Proficient with Web Development Technologies, Object Oriented Concepts, Knowledge of cloud services and CI/CD or other automated tools like Jenkins.
  • Experience in JavaScript, CSS, Semantic UI, bootstrap, and jQuery
  • Knowledge of build tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle.
  • Knowledge of best practices followed for maintaining code quality like lint and unit testing tools like karma / jest / mocha
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
  • Working knowledge of AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, and S3 is desirable.
  • Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems.
  • Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the company.
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field with 8+ years of previous experience as a Web services developer front or backend or Master’s degree in computer sciences or similar field with 6+ years of experience as web services developer; combination of education and experience considered.
  • 2-3 years of real time experience in ReactJs, NodeJs, and/or AWS or cloud technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work & Education Experience Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of user interface models, application design, and website functionality.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant frameworks and databases.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • · Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to develop a unique understanding of PDMI brand, products, and services

Supervisory/Leadership Responsibilities:

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position. However, for specific special projects, this position often requires leadership skills.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively and persuasively before others.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply basic concepts. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills & Abilities:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, businesses, and community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness and in accordance with PDMI's policies.
