Software Engineer, Full Stack

Overview:

Guru helps teams create and surface the knowledge they need to do their jobs in real time. With offices in Philadelphia and San Francisco, including a distributed team across the U.S., Guru is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to be a core part of our Bot and Integrations team. As part of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate to create and evolve user friendly flows focused on integrating Guru into our customers' existing workflows and routines.

Responsibilities:

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you responsibilities will include:

• Implementing product features
• Conducting due diligence to assess feasibility for upcoming projects
• Collaborating with others to build unique solutions, reviewing code, triaging issues and solving complex problems
• Finding opportunities for paying down technical debt

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, product development preferred
• 1+ years of experience with modern Javascript frameworks or libraries, like React/Redux
• 1+ years of professional experience building applications in Java
• 1+ years of experience with Node.js
• Experience building complex layouts with CSS and HTML
• Experience consuming REST APIs
• Experience working with SQL and relational data
• Experience with Unit Testing or Test Driven Development
• Experience using version control systems like Git
• Understanding of information security practices (web encryption, data permissions, etc)
• Knowledge of good architectural practices for building large scale, enterprise-grade applications
• Strong communication skills
• Willing to work in a collaborative environment
• Ability to adapt to changing technology
