Backend Developer

We are looking to hire a Backend Developer to join our growing tech team. Essential responsibilities will include all web development for the Whiplash family of web applications. The ideal candidate is able to work in tandem with a user experience team, delivering RESTful API endpoints that are performant, maintainable, and easy to consume.

In this role, you will be managing the web development for the Whiplash family of web
applications. You will be working in tandem with the user experience team and delivering RESTful API endpoints that are performant, maintainable, and easy to consume.

Position Requirements:

• Enjoy working in a small team environment where you have a high level of responsibility & independence.
• 2-3 years of experience working with source control in a collaborative development environment.
• 2-3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails
• Comfortable writing performant queries in MySQL
• Comfortable in discussions with end users
• Experience with scaling applications in production
