Front End Engineer

Remote or On-Site

QuSecure, Inc. (https://www.qusecure.com/) is an exciting Silicon Valley company building post-quantum cybersecurity products to protect against today’s hackers while future proofing companies as quantum computers become more powerful. We are looking for a full-time or contract Front-End Engineer who can help build the design elements of our products. This will include a network admin interface and data visualization aspects.

Our Quantum Security Management Suite (QSMS) is an advanced, quantum resilient and integrated set of enterprise security products and services designed to provide the highest level of security against all cyber-attacks, whether classical or quantum.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of Front-End Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience building highly interactive web frontend applications in React
  • Experience with TypeScript or other statically typed languages
  • Good understanding of asynchronous control flow
  • Experience with React-Redux for application state management
  • Experience with complex web applications, crafting multiple components with complex interactions, validation and state management with backend
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Yarn, Sass, Less
  • Experience with unit testing libraries such as Mocha, Jest
  • Successful collaborations with UX designers
  • Comfortable with Git and code review processes
  • Confidence being hands-on from prototyping through building the final product
  • Security minded with good understanding of authentication flow, and mitigation of browser-based attacks

Nice to Have:

  • Leading and/or major contributions to open-source projects
  • Experience with data visualization frameworks such as Cytoscape.js, D3
  • Experience with WebAssembly and Graphics such as WebGL
  • Experience with gRPC and Protobuf
  • Experience with Containers
  • Experience with mobile app development with React Native
  • Experience with Cloud Development and Deployment
  • Good understanding of TLS and encryption.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate requirements into concepts and user experience design.
  • Associate with Design Research to enhance design suggestions.
  • Manage design wireframes, mockups and navigation maps.
  • Imagine complex data sets in easily comprehendible ways.
  • Develop overall brand.
  • Extend brand to intuitive interactive model and user experience.
  • Develop clean well executed design concepts.
  • Coordinate with team on design and prototype of new interfaces.
  • Coordinate with UI Programmer to strategize and execute user interfaces.
  • Translate user requirements into usable interfaces aligning with business goals.
  • Clear screen mockups, prototypes and UI design specifications.
  • Develop interaction models and site navigation.
  • Perform UI client presentations at various project stages.
  • Coordinate with business and technology teams, business analysts and developers.
  • Own UI design phase of lifecycle and coordinate with product design and engineering teams.
