Venture Capital Investment Associate

Job Description

Sidekick is seeking a full-time Investment Associate. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of venture capital, including investment decisions, fund management, portfolio company support, and other fund-related activities. Long-term, we prefer for the candidate to work from New York City, but remote work is also an option.

Responsibilities

• Help source and analyze potential investments
• Collaborate with the broader venture ecosystem to share opportunities
• Join investment committee discussions
• Help monitor existing portfolio companies, including interaction with founders

Skills, abilities, and personality

• Strong work ethic - willing to work evenings and weekends
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
• Comfort with public speaking
• High level of maturity and discretion for confidential information
• Exceptional with Microsoft Excel

Ideal candidates meet one or more of the following criteria

• 1-3 years of professional experience in strategic consulting, financial consulting, corporate strategy, tech, or startups
• Some hands-on experience with investing or startups/small companies
• Deep expertise or passion in at least one industry
