Oberon Technologies, Inc. is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Manager to manage the QA team as they carry out all quality assurance processes; including developing test plans and test cases from functional specifications and business requirements, executing test cases, tracking system configuration defects and verifying the configuration fixes on our premier Content Delivery/AR/VR/and Training Solutions. This individual will work in close cooperation with the Product Management and Development teams, to apply analytical and business skills to evaluate existing and identify new or enhanced systems, products, and processes.

The Quality Assurance Manager also supervises and or participates in developing, managing, and executing all phases of quality assurance testing. This includes analysis of product requirements to produce test requirements, and development and execution of functional/system test plans in a multi-tiered environment.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of business processes supported by software products.
  • Creates test plans, test cases, test scenarios and test data for use during the testing phases of the SDLC for new and existing Oberon products.
  • Ensures that test cases and scenarios exercise every aspect of the product, including negative and positive testing.
  • Understands and defines standard, methods, tools and procedures for test automation.
  • Ensures full test coverage for assigned deliverables.
  • Manages various projects, work, technical support, customer support as necessary.
  • Hires, trains, and develops talent for growth opportunities; monitors team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environments
  • Controls project risks by analyzing and identifying trigger events, establishing response and contingency plans, and recommending ways to mitigate future risks
  • Additional duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, CIS, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software QA or related field
  • 10+ years working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycles (SDLC)
  • 10+ years of experience leading project or technical teams with or without formal direct report responsibility; this includes experience providing technical direction, thought leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members
  • Hands on experience and accountability architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering detailed test solutions/plans/tools for cloud-based system

  • Knowledge and advanced experience using distributed version control systems (git), artifact management systems, build and packaging systems (maven) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins)
