ABOUT THE TEAM:

We are a nimble team of mobile engineers who are passionate about PAX and the cannabis industry. We love making our app more engaging and valuable for PAX consumers. We’re very proud of our 4.5+ star rating and more than 500,000 downloads in the Play Store. We have a very high bar for quality and you should, too!

The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate and knowledgeable about the perfect mobile experience. You’ll have had prior ownership of features or entire apps and will be familiar with using A/B testing to improve apps in a data-driven way.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will:

  • collaborate closely with product, design, firmware, data, QA, and other engineering teams to design and develop features that positively impact our consumers
  • identify opportunities and instrument the app with analytics to understand user behavior
  • own entire features of the app and work with our design and product teams to iterate on them, verifying the impact via metrics and A/B testing
  • maintain and improve our unit and integration test coverage
  • perform code reviews and mentor other developers, helping them grow and flourish
  • write scalable, performant, and secure code
  • push the team to use the best tools for the job
  • be a champion for PAX consumers, striving to tell their stories with data

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU:

  • 5+ years of relevant, professional experience, 2+ years of Android development
  • experience with Kotlin, Android’s JetPack libraries, and RxJava/RxKotlin

  • experience working closely with designers to execute polished UI experiences
  • experience with data-driven development and demonstrated success in creating impact for consumers via A/B testing
  • be able to proactively manage prioritization of work to deliver quality results
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for documentation

NICE TO HAVE:

  • strong sense of product, design, and an understanding of what makes apps worthy of design awards
  • experience with iOS development, Objective-C, and Swift is a big plus
  • a Computer Science degree, or equivalent, is a bonus
