ROLE/POSITION

IT Network Engineer

OBJECTIVE

Looking to create a Network/Server solution in-house by hiring a dedicated IT Network Engineer to advise and execute significant investments in our tech infrastructure.

CURRENT SITUATION

We are a commercial and residential Glazing (construction) company in the Twin Cities Metro area with a growing staff of just over 50 employees. Our current setup is a mixture of (local) Desktop PC’s and laptops, each logging into a Virtual Desktop Service provider on a hosted cloud server. The lack of control over our network has become a significant cost to our business as we scale in size. We are looking to devote capital to building out a private network and server solution that meets our needs, and we need a creative and independent thinker to design and implement this solution for us.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

We will be integrating a new enterprise software package for Accounting and Project Management beginning in Q4 of this year. This position will be integral in advising management on the best technological (hardware and software) solutions to complement and enhance these investments. Our labor force is roughly 60% field, 30% office and 10% shop, therefore mobile hardware and multi-platform systems integrations will be vital areas of expertise for the role.

This individual will be able to grow their own team over time as they add the expertise, advice and execution to the tech investments necessary to get our operations to the next level.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Has the technical knowledge and experience to fulfill our objectives
• Seen the first 3 seasons of Mr. Robot (finishing season 4 not required)
• Completed a personal PC build in the last 5 years

ENHANCED QUALIFICATIONS

• Legitimate coding/programming skill (custom software/network solution creation)
