CharacterStrong is a rapidly growing education company seeking custom solutions that unite our product, sales, financial, and customer data to improve the customer experience and streamline internal processes. This position offers the exciting opportunity for a high-initiative individual to play a critical role in the expansion of our tech department and impact the deliverability, accessibility, and functionality of our online curriculum and professional learning services. In particular, this role will entail collaborating with business operations, and tech stakeholders to scope, build, implement, and maintain end-to-end systems that support:

  • The development of secure, efficient, and well-designed user interfaces
  • Accurate and non-destructive customer data collection, storage, and retrieval
  • Robust historical data records
  • Automated and licensed access to products and services
  • Nuanced product and service fulfillment sequences
  • Intra- and interdepartmental functions
  • Customer autonomy

In addition to developing custom data solutions for current business scaling, this position requires a commitment to supporting the establishment of strong, long term data governance principles and practices, company-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and unite product, sales, financial, and customer data from Quickbooks, InfusionSoft, Pipedrive, and Google Sheets to ensure a source of true data
  • Automate customer account access and management of our online products and services
  • Expand the scope of the CharacterStrong product interface
  • Create self-service dashboards for key stakeholders to access data representing key business metrics
  • Collaborate with the operations team to implement strong data governance principles and practices, company-wide

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Expertise with a general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, Go, Objective-C, and/or Swift)
  • 5+ years experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • 5+ years experience with building high-performance scalable data warehouses
  • 5+ years experience with custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Experience with integrating web applications and services with middleware services
  • Experience leading a project from conception through to launch and performing ongoing maintenance of the system in production
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and engineering habits
  • Demonstrated written/oral communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and skills

Pay & Benefits

  • $200k - $225k base salary
