As a full-stack developer, the Principal Software Engineer, will be collaborating with the rest of the Web, Data Analytics and Product Teams to transform ideas into exceptional products. These products will support both internal and external stakeholders and improve on our business operations and delivery of content.

You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and developing web applications while ensuring responsiveness and reusability of various components. The ideal candidate is passionate about innovation and effectively introducing latest technologies. He/She will be able to turn ideas from concept to prototype and iterate with feedback from project or product owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Data Engineers to deliver compelling multifaceted application (Desktop/mobile web + native devices)
  • Own, create, review, and provide feedback on technical design proposals and proof of concepts
  • Write clean, fast, compatible, easy-to-use, and testable code into production ready outputs
  • Continuously design, build, ship, and maintain reusable systems that contribute to our web applications
  • Improve our design system and make improvements to our overall architecture in both the Front-end and Back-end codebases
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence by meticulously testing and monitoring our systems and code, while ensuring proper documentation

Skills & Qualifications:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience developing and delivering responsive web products in a corporate environment using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other industry standard frameworks
  • Experience with industry standard frameworks and technologies – React, NextJS, Redux, NodeJS, ES6, Webpack
  • Experience with Azure Cloud technologies such as Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Power Apps
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling (AJAX)
  • Knowledge of how performance on the web is measured and experience with tools like Datadog
  • Familiarity with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) level caching for static assets and static/dynamic web pages
  • Familiarity with data stack applications like SQL Database, Data Warehouse, Kafka, etc
  • Experience with writing robust and maintainable unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Lead the development of user stories, use cases and design artifacts to effectively convey requirements to both client stakeholders and development teams
  • Processes the ability to collaborate with non-technical audiences and adapting to the tools and technologies appropriate for the job at hand
  • Knowledge of continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment tools
  • Self-directed, “get it done” attitude
