Your Role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be building out Mantle’s 3D printer software system with a web-based slicer, Industrial IOT capabilities by closely working with System Engineering and Hardware engineering teams. This is a critical tech-lead position reporting to the Head of Software with technical expertise ranging from designing REST APIs, AWS services, pub-sub, and streaming technologies.
What will you own?
- Architect, design, build, and maintain a world-class multi-tenant web product for storing, editing, and printing 3D designs, improve the operational efficiency of Mantle’s 3D printers using Industrial IoT
- Enable enterprise-class system integrations by creating powerful APIs and build modern reactive user interfaces
- Work with engineers across the company, including the offshore team, to build new features at a large scale
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
What you have:
- 10+ years experience building and shipping high-quality code with strong CS fundamentals
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Proficiency in writing Node applications and Databases design with NoSQL such as DynamoDB, InfluxDB, S3 and scaling them.
- Strong experience with cloud systems such as AWS with knowledge of Cloud data streaming and pub-sub services e.g. AWS Kinesis, Kafka, MQTT, and serverless functions such as Lambda
- Knowledge of enterprise security, performance optimization, parallelization, and distributed systems
- Experience with contemporary web development frameworks (Angular, React/ Redux, etc)
- Experience building APIs, Services and Scaling Systems
- Open to work remotely with flexible working hours.
- Have excellent verbal & written English communication
- Know your way around a UNIX shell
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of manufacturing domain, CNC machines, embedded and industrial IoT
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and 3D modeling libraries
- Can design and implement tooling and automation for clustering, scaling, monitoring, and alerting
- Experience with web-based visualization frameworks (D3, Three.js, WebGL, and more)
