Charcoalblue is the world’s leading multi-national theatre, acoustic, and digital consultancy. Founded in 2004, we have studios in London, Bristol, Glasgow, New York, Chicago and Melbourne and our team members currently work in a distributed way across the globe.
We are looking to employ a highly organised and self-motivated Service Manager on a full-time permanent basis to provide support to our managed service team within the organisation.
CB@ is our dedicated managed service sitting within Charcoalblue, offering project and design management to key clients. We are appointed by a long-standing international client to provide specialist Audio Visual Project Management services for their Events and Experience spaces. This involves our team collaborating with the client’s designers, wider architectural project teams, and Audiovisual integrators delivering world leading spaces.
The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing and developing all administrative functions for our global CB@ team. You will collaborate with senior management to support the wellbeing of the global team from an administrative perspective, including responsibility for recruiting new team members and providing day to day HR support and compliance for the team. You will therefore need to demonstrate excellent administrative experience, a strong work ethic, and an ability and desire to improve current processes as our managed service continues to evolve.
A good working knowledge of Google docs, sheets, Word, Excel and Acrobat is essential, as well as demonstrable experience in HR and recruitment processes and procedures. Some experience of working with international teams would be a distinct advantage as our managed service team are based across the UK, USA and Australia.
In time, you will be required to manage at least one Administrator in a support role so experience of having managed team members would also be an advantage.
We are seeking applications from candidates with a background in administration for events, performing arts, architecture, construction, or you may have experience of having undertaken administrative/HR duties for an SME.
As we work in a distributed model, the role may be undertaken from home with occasional attendance in our UK studios (London/Bristol). When government guidelines allow, there will be the option to work from one of our studios if preferred. The successful candidate should be prepared to adopt a flexible working hours approach to support our global studios. This will be discussed in more detail should you reach the interview stages.
Charcoalblue is an equal opportunities employer and our mission is to create a diverse and inclusive working environment across our practice. Recruitment opportunities are open to all, and we are particularly keen to hear from ethnically diverse and disabled candidates, as these groups are currently under-represented within our teams. If you require this application in a different format or need support during the application process, please contact Sian Thompson via email ([email protected]) or telephone (020 7928 0000).
Closing date for receiving applications: 9am (BST), Monday 21st June, 2021.
